A fire broke out during the night of Thursday, November 21 to Friday, November 22, around midnight, in a residential house on rue Saint-Souplet in Mutigney.
The occupants of the house were awakened by the smell of smoke, so they quickly called the fire brigade. The emergency centers in Thervay, Pontailler-sur-Saône (Côte-d'Or) and Dole quickly arrived at the scene of the disaster to contain the fire fairly quickly, before it spread to the entire house.

The couple relocated to the village
The origin of the fire has not yet been established; it could have come from a wood stove. The damage was significant in the kitchen on the ground floor, but the rapid arrival of firefighters made it possible to limit the extent of the flames in the home. The mayor of the town, Eric Druot, visited the site and is considering rehousing the couple temporarily in the village, while waiting for work to restore the accommodation to be carried out.
With this winter cold that has been blowing across our region for several days, it is necessary for the couple to find waiting accommodation to be warm and forget a little about the circumstances of this fire which kept them on alert all night.
