Falling trees and damaged cables in Lot-et-Garonne following storm Caetano

This Thursday, November 21, 2024, Lot-et-Garonne was placed in yellow vigilance due to storm Caetano. At 8:30 p.m., the department's firefighters took stock of the interventions carried out during the day marked by violent winds. In total, 14 interventions were recorded in particular for tree falls and electric cables on public roads.

42 firefighters engaged

The winds and precipitation caused the fall of nine trees on public roads, requiring the intervention of emergency services to restore traffic. Telephone and electrical cables were also damaged. Throughout the department, these are 42 firefighters in total which had to be mobilized.

In addition to local interventions, a team was dispatched to support the town of Dieulivol, in Gironde due to similar conditions.
