Busy end of year for the CCI du

As the end of the year approaches, it is customary to take stock of the last few months before planning for the future. The CCI did not deviate from custom on November 19, also taking advantage of the arrival of its new director, Grégoire-Pierre Dessaux.

The year 2024 was marked by financial challengesnotably a significant reduction in public fundswhich have fallen by more than 50% since 2016. Despite this, the CCI Gard managed to achieve a surplus of almost one million euros. Enough to participate in the realization of the major projects of the year. L'acquisition of the Expo Park near the city ​​of Nîmes should be finalized in December. The objective is to modernize the site to become a multi-purpose center dedicated to exhibitions and events.

Moving in sight

At the same time, the CCI Gard continues its actions to support local economic dynamism. Until the end of 2024, three major events are planned: TransmiCCIblededicated to the transfer and takeover of businesses,' Export Touran initiative to support companies in their international efforts, or the Tourism dayfocused on artificial intelligence and its applications in the tourism sector.

The coming year will be marked by significant changes. The move to the new Maison des Entreprises will represent a symbolic and functional turning point. This building, designed to become the first “green chamber of commerce in , is presented as an example of innovation and sustainability. “The idea is to invest in a building which will embody the future of the company in the region.specifies Grégoire Pierre-Dessaux, new general director of the CCI Gard.

Helping VSEs to anticipate

Among the priorities for the year 2025 is notably digital transformationwith increased support for local businesses to integrate artificial intelligence and the new technologies. Furthermore, the ecological transition plays an important role, through the promotion of renewable energies and the reduction of CO emissions2.

A third point is thesupport for small businesses thanks to the launch of the Veille TPE program. This system aims to identify and help companies in difficulty before they encounter more serious problems. “Anticipating is essential: this preventive action will support businesses, help them get through a difficult stage, and position them more solidly to bounce back at the end of the cycle.”explains the president, Eric Giraudier.
