As part of its national partnership with the Micro-Folie network, the Paris National Opera has been offering the broadcast of a ballet or opera every year-end since 2021. This year, more than 250 Micro-Folies will take part in the operation in France, internationally and in overseas territories. For this 2024 edition, the appointment is Friday December 13 at 8 p.m. for a simultaneous broadcast in different locations participating in the operation.
After the broadcast of the ballet “Swan Lake” by Rudolf Nouveev in 2021, the opera “La Traviata” by Guiseppe Verdi in 2022 and the ballet “A Midsummer Night's Dream” by George Balanchine in 2023, the The poster is given to one of the most famous tales of childhood: the opera “Cinderella” composed by Jules Massenet and directed scene by Mariame Clément, based on the story by Charles Perrault. An exceptional show which is played out in four acts and six scenes (duration 3 hours – scheduled intermission of 30 minutes).
In Meurthe-et-Moselle, two establishments equipped with the Micro-Folie system are taking part in the event: the Jules Verne media library in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy and the Concorde cinema in Baccarat.
