It was him prohibited from attending minors. This man under guardianshipwho cannot read or write, moved to La Manche to be closer to his family. On the stand, he assures that he has not touched the little girl, but indicates that he has a meeting soon with a psychiatrist to “have pills so that it doesn’t start again”.
He explains that the previous facts were linked to his alcohol consumptionand, as he no longer drinks, he could not start again. He knew he shouldn't approach the childrenbut he explains that the mother asked him to look after his daughters.
He didn't want to tell her that it was forbidden. The woman said to investigators what the police had told him to be wary of the defendant, without being more precise.
She spoke about it to his neighborwho replied that he had had problems because of his alcohol consumption, but that he no longer drinks and therefore there was nothing to fear. She believed him.
High risk of acting out
The psychiatrist considers that he presents a high risk of acting outand recommends hormonal treatment.
Taking into account the conclusions of the psychologist who considers that Léa's words are credible, that she had no reason to invent such behavior, the representative of the prosecution requested a sentence of 7 years of detention with a committal warrant.
The court followed these requisitionswith socio-judicial monitoring for 15 years after his release, the ban on contact with Léa, her family, and all minors. He will have to pay €2,460 to the ACJM (Victim Assistance, Citizenship, Justice and Mediation) which is defending Léa.
