Two educators who allegedly assaulted children under the age of 5 in a Laval daycare were arrested Wednesday in Laval.
The two suspects, aged 54 and 60, work in a government-accredited daycare in the Vimont district.
According to authorities, the women allegedly assaulted children during nap time. The actions with which they are accused allegedly occurred during the months of September and October.
Five small victims have so far been identified. They are all under 5 years old.
The two educators now face several assault charges. They were released on conditions with a promise to appear in court at a later date.
A third educator who is currently the subject of an arrest warrant should also face justice in this same case. She is in her forties.
Authorities would not reveal the name of the daycare where the alleged violence took place.
The investigation into this matter was initiated following a complaint made last October.
