A snow disturbance due to the Caetano depression will cross France from west to east this Thursday, November 21. The first precipitation is expected at the end of the night over the tip of Brittany and will gradually shift towards Normandy and the regions of Pays-de-la-Loire and Centre-Val-de-Loire. Météo-France has announced, for 32 departments spread across the entire territory, an orange snow-ice alert due to the first significant snowy episode of the season, with difficulties that may be encountered until Friday 22/11 inclusive (https ://vigilance.meteofrance.fr/fr/neige-verglas). A wide band going from Côtes-d'Armor to Doubs via Île-de-France and also including Hautes-Alpes and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence is concerned. A priori the snow should spare Morbihan but if you have to travel this Thursday, be aware that restrictive measures are in place in the departments bordering Morbihan.
In order to ensure the safety of users on the roads and to prevent traffic difficulties, measures have been put in place:
-
Ban on overtaking and reduction of the maximum authorized speed by 20 km/h on the national road network for vehicles weighing more than 7.5 tonnes:
- from 6 a.m. in departments 14, 22, 35, 50, 53, 61 and 72
- from 11 a.m. in departments 18, 27, 28, 41 and 45
-
Traffic ban for vehicles over 7.5 tonnes from 6 a.m.:
