Weather France placed the Hautes-Alpes department in Orange snow-ice warning starting this Thursday, November 21, 2024.

Snowfall is expected from 10:00 a.m. throughout the department:

• of 5 to 10 cm at 400 m
• of 15 to 30 cm at 800 m
• of 20 to 40 cm from 1200 m to 1500m
• of 40 to 60 cm at 2000m

The snowy episode should continue into the afternoon with a mild spell expected at the end of the afternoon in the Buëch region as far as Gapençais while a lull is expected. instead announced in the evening for the north of the department.

For security reasons,a traffic ban order of no more than 26 T will be effective tomorrow, Thursday November 21, on the entire high-Alpine route (RN 85 and RN 94) from 11 a.m.
