Morges Christmas Market kicks off in 10 days

On foot, by bike, on rollerblades, or by scooter, whatever the means of transport used, you can take part in the soft mobility event “Cap sur l’Ouest” taking place this Sunday, September 22 in different locations around the West Lausanne.

On September 22, Lausanne is preparing to celebrate the West Lausanne Festival, an event dedicated to soft mobility. Entitled “Heading for the West”, this festive day will highlight environmentally friendly modes of transport, such as cycling, scooters, rollerblading, and walking in particular.

Participants will have the opportunity to discover the diversity of Western Lausanne through the multiple territories of its 8 municipalities which are: Villars-St-, Bussigny, Ecublens, St-Sulpice, Crissier, Prilly, Renens and Chavannes, thanks to to specially designed routes, entirely or partially closed to cars, of a total of 25 kilometers, entertainment and even activities for the family. Workshops, demonstrations and information stands will also be present to raise public awareness of the issues of sustainable mobility.

This event is part of an approach to promoting a healthier lifestyle and a greener city. By encouraging Lausanne residents to adopt more ecological travel practices, “Cap sur l’Ouest” aims to strengthen the link between residents and their environment while celebrating the cultural and natural wealth of the region.
