The place is simply transformed! Since Monday October 7, it's official, the gourmet restaurant La Robe has moved to a completely renovated building in Montaigu (Vendée). With this new installation, the Michelin-starred restaurant is thinking bigger.

A continuity

30 people can be accommodated in what was once a house. In a warm decor, inside and out, they will benefit from quality service and cuisine.

Although the location and decoration have changed, the restaurant keeps the same DNA. “The proposed menu is a continuation of what we did before,” explains Xavier Giraudet, the chef.

To taste the chef's cuisine in complete privacy, it is possible to reserve the private lounge located upstairs. It can accommodate up to 8 place settings.

A another room is located upstairs. It can be rented for seminars or for groups of up to 16 people. You can taste recipes from the gourmet restaurant there, but not only that…

A bistronomic: the big challenge

In a second part of the building is L'Atelier, a bistronomic which offers a more relaxed offering open to more budgets. Allow 20 euros for a lunch including starter and main course or main course and dessert.

The key word remains quality both in terms of service and cuisine. The recipes will be different but the products will remain local.

This second location was built in what was a workshop designing small agricultural machinery. It benefits from a capacity of 45 seats indoors and 30 outdoors.

Jobs created

With this new formula, jobs could be created. In total, around twenty employees were hired.

Xavier Giraudet recruited most of his employees from the Montaigu-Vendée area. “I had the impression that there was a wait for people who wanted to work in the restaurant business but who couldn't find it in the town,” underlines the chef.

This project was very largely financed by the town hall which took charge of the renovation of the buildings. “It was a real challenge,” said Florent Limouzin, the city’s mayor.
