The keffiyeh is reinvented in this new French collection

The French upcycling label is strengthening its support for Palestine.

Entitled “Galbi” (“my heart” in Arabic, editor's note), IsisDünya's new collection pays homage to the Y2K aesthetic of R&B clips from our adolescence and uses the keffiyeh as the main motif. Dyed in pink or red, the traditional Palestinian scarf is available here as a crop-top, jacket, jeans or dress, and illustrates, once again, the philosophy of Dünya Boukhers, creator of the brand.

Upcycling and a strong political message

The young Turkish-Algerian offers inclusive creations, inspired by her own cultural heritage. “Unfortunately in 2022 in France, being inclusive becomes a political fight but I think that elsewhere it would not have had the same connotation”however, the designer told us during an interview in 2022. The Keffiyeh in fashion
