An investigation was opened after a woman, a public highway surveillance officer (ASVP), was threatened with death by a man armed with a knife at the Mée-sur-Seine police station (Seine-et- ), we learned this Tuesday.

He had placed a knife to her throat. A municipal police officer was threatened with death this Tuesday, in the Mée-sur-Seine police station (Seine-et-Marne), by an individual with a bladed weapon. An investigation has been opened, we learned immediately from the public prosecutor's office.

The events took place at midday, when a man slipped behind the ASVP (public highway surveillance officer) as the latter entered the police station, according to a source carrying out the investigation.

It was then that the individual drew a knife, placing it under the victim's throat. The latter was nevertheless quickly arrested and then placed in police custody, without causing any injuries.

The motive is currently unknown, the prosecution told CNEWS. However, an investigation was opened into charges of attempted homicide against a person holding public authority.

The individual was automatically hospitalized, his discernment being abolished, according to the psychiatric expert.
