An “unworthy” measure for Environmentalists

More than a definitive removal of 80% of the RSA (totalling €635 per month for a single adult), the remobilization sanction is a “suspension” of the payment. “If the beneficiary subsequently remobilizes, the payment is given back retroactively.», Specifies the Northern Department. In council, Stéphanie Bocquet, who chairs the Ecologists, regrets the lack of consultation. “It didn’t even come up for deliberation […] We were alerted, we searched, and we found. And we find it really outrageous that a first sanction on the RSA is 80%. »

The elected official fears that this deprivation will lead to further impoverishment: “For people who are alone, these are the CCAS (communal social action centers, Editor’s note) town halls who will collect them with a request for emergency help! » And the president of the Department, clarified: “There are some who play with the system. We want to help Northerners who are recipients of RSA and who cannot work. ButI want those who can work to be put back to work. »

“To those who don’t care, should we continue to be an ATM?

For “those who are in difficulty”, however, there is no debate: “We must give them the rights, and all of the rights”, further clarifies Christian Poiret. He takes as an example the statistics of a massive and annual event in the North: Succeed Without Waiting week, from November 6 to 13.

This week, organized with France Travail, there are 1,200 events scheduled, 521 partners, 13,800 participants out of the 19,000 registered, or 71% participation.
