A complaint for moral harassment filed against Michaël Galy, former prefect of Nièvre

The cardio-thoracic surgeon, Jean-François Fuzellier, filed a complaint against Michaël Galy, former prefect of Nièvre. And against two of his former colleagues, professors Jean-Pierre Favre and Jean-Noël Albertini.

The alleged facts cover the period 2017 and 2019. Michaël Galy was then director general of the Saint-Étienne University Hospital. The information was reported by our colleagues from Inter. The former prefect is now chief of staff to the Minister of Health, Geneviève Darrieussecq.

“The managerial methods and behaviors practiced against Professor Mégnien are the same as those that Professor Fuzellier suffered,” assures the latter’s lawyer, Christelle Mazza, we can read on France Inter.

Denigration

Jean-François Fuzellier would have been under the control of the two other surgeons for a period, without this causing any difficulty. He was able to carry out his duties without any incident. It was when he gained independence within the cardiology department that things changed. His professional death was literally “planned”, according to Jean-François Fuzellier.

After initially exhausting Professor Fuzellier, “giving him all the most delicate operations”. Then all his patients would have been gradually diverted. A policy of denigration would then have started within the Saint-Etienne hospital.

A complaint for harassment filed against the right arm of the prefect of Nièvre

Still according to France inter:

To defend himself, surgeon Fuzellier alerted his superiors several times. But nothing changes. On the contrary, he was suspended from his functions for professional inadequacy at the beginning of 2019 by the Director General of the Saint-Étienne University Hospital, Michaël Galy (former prefect of Nièvre)… who is none other than the current chief of staff of the minister of Health, Geneviève Darrieussecq.

Jean-François Fuzellier's lawyer assures that an obstacle at the level of the Ministry of Health exists and also denounces dysfunctions of justice. Since his client will file a criminal complaint in January 2020… but an investigation will only be opened two years later.

As for the surgeon's suspension, Michaël Galy responded to France inter: “It would have to be done again today, I would make exactly the same decision. »
