Haroun Bouazzi was crowned hero of the crusade against the dominant colonial-racist capitalism of Quebec by members of QS.
By ensuring that he would not be rebuffed and that he would not have to apologize, the solidarity groups made him untouchable. He claimed it loud and clear on Sunday evening.
Pragmatism?
In all this turmoil, we forgot that this congress should be that of the pragmatist turn of QS. In the wake of the resounding resignation of Émilise Lessard-Therrien, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois set his conditions.
QS had to modernize, give itself the means to become “a government party”.
In real life, we would dare to believe that this means not alienating the majority of the population with inflammatory comments.
But Haroun Bouazzi does not see it that way. QS members prefer to maintain their illusions.
The only pragmatism shown by QS was to buy peace. At what price? That of his credibility.
For how long will Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois agree to sell off his?
