Frédéric Poisot, sub-prefect, secretary general of the Hérault prefecture was on Friday at the laying of the first stone of the new V STUDIOS studios in Vendargues.
The audiovisual and cinema sector in France is experiencing real growth with the arrival of new production equipment. It was a significant moment, when the first stone was laid for the new Studios V in Vendargues, an ambitious project which augurs a brilliant future for local and national industry. The event was honored by the presence of Frédéric Poisot, sub-prefect and secretary general of the Hérault prefecture, who underlined the importance of this initiative for the territory.
An 8,000 m² site to stimulate audiovisual creation
The new ones Studios Vwhich will extend over more than 8,000 m², will notably include four additional film sets, thus offering a modern infrastructure adapted to the growing needs of the sector. These new spaces will make it possible to accommodate a wide variety of productions, whether films, series or audiovisual productions, and to support the development of creative projects that meet international standards.
The creation of these new studios responds to the strong growing demand in the cinema and audiovisual industry in France. Thanks to this new equipment, the Vendargues site is positioning itself as a key player in the south of France, but also on a national scale, by supporting innovation and strengthening the competitiveness of the sector.
A project supported by the State: 5.9 million euros via France2030
THE Studios V are not just a private project, but a truly large-scale project that benefits from public support. The State co-financed this initiative to the tune of 5.9 million euros via the program France2030as part of the “La Grande factory de l’image” call for projects. This initiative aims to support the digital transition and the modernization of the cultural and creative industries in France, by supporting innovative and structuring projects. State support thus makes it possible to strengthen production capacities, while promoting job creation in the region.
Beyond the figures and the infrastructures, the project of Studios V represents a real opportunity for the local and national economy.
