Jean-Paul Ferré, president of the Departmental Energy Union, was welcomed by Alain Naudy, the president of the Haute Ariège intercommunality and the elected officials of the territory for a presentation of the news of the union which greatly supports the municipalities. President Ferré recalled the investments in this part of the territory, whether they concern distribution networks, public lighting or even electric charging stations. Each year, more than €14 million is invested in Ariège, to help municipalities and communities of municipalities. This is local employment, since 4 companies based in Ariège work under the project management of the SDE. The electrification union also invests in supporting community energy renovation work, alongside the State and the Department. Jean-Paul Ferré did not fail to recall the real concerns generated by the finance bill which threatens the maintenance of current financial support for work on rural electrification, which has enabled, in particular, mountain villages, since 1951, to have satisfactory quality of service and electricity. Numerous and interactive exchanges punctuated the evening which ended around a friendly drink.
