Launch of the industry week at the DELABIE company, in Friville-Escarbotin in the

On November 15, 2024, Rollon MOUCHEL-BLAISOT, prefect of the , inaugurated the 13th edition of the industry week on the site of the company DELABIE, a French and family company, created
in 1928, and European leader in taps and sanitary equipment for establishments open to the public. This initiative aims to highlight the industry to the general public and young people, under the inspiring theme “With industry, create your future”.

Industry week takes place in Hauts-de- from November 18 to 24, 2024. It is held on the theme “with industry, create your future”. Several hundred events are expected in the region to promote the industry, its trades and its employment opportunities.

The objective is to strengthen the attractiveness of the industrial sector and its professions, particularly among young people and job seekers, through events organized throughout the territory by a plurality of actors (companies, associations , consular chambers, etc.).

Industry being an essential pillar to ensure the independence and sovereignty of France. The challenge is therefore, to prepare the France of tomorrow and succeed in reindustrialization, to encourage vocations, to remove the barriers of self-censorship, to change the way young people see industry and to ensure that the industrial sector attracts more women.
