Before going to the Landes prefecture, the Landes farmers of the FDSEA and Young farmers (JA) are planning to take a little stroll through the streets of Mont-de-Marsan, this Monday, November 18 in the evening.
Members of the FDSEA and the JA, whose leaders, Michel Larrère and Kévin Pouysegur, were received by the prefect of Landes this Monday evening. They were able to discuss their refusals of the Mercosur free trade treaty but also more local issues such as the water problem or even a resumption of meetings on simplifications.
Hay bales in front of a state building
At 8 p.m., here are now the farmers in front of the DDTM. Boulevard Saint-Médard is blocked to traffic.
Around 7 p.m., angry farmers placed bales of hay in front of the DDERSPP (Departmental Directorate of Employment, Labor, Solidarity and Population Protection). The procession is now heading towards the Departmental Directorate of Territories (DDTM) opposite the André-et-Guy-Boniface stadium
They started around 6:15 p.m. from the Coumassotte roundabout in Saint-Pierre-du-Mont and will go to the DDETSPP before being received around 7:30 p.m. by the prefect Françoise Tahéri.
Traffic jams at Bats Bridge
On the road, traffic is difficult leaving the city-prefecture towards the Bats bridge. A long traffic jam is currently underway. The tractors block both lanes before heading towards the city center.
A similar action is also underway in Dax from Intermarché. There too, the demonstrators will go to the sub-prefecture.
