Onet-le-Château. A first in Aveyron: socio-aesthetic treatments

Since the start of the school year, Sylvie, socio-esthetician, has been offering eponymous workshops in the village of La Rossignole, which becomes the first establishment in Aveyron offering this type of service. Unlike classic aesthetics, socio-aesthetics is intended for people with specific needs, whether in the medical, medico-social or social environment. In order to work with this audience, specific training is required to fully master their needs and best adapt their practice. This is comfort care, where the primary goal is to respect and preserve the autonomy of the person, working mainly through sensory stimulation and establishing another relationship with the body, through touch “no medicalized. Particular attention is also given to patients suffering from Alzheimer's or related disease, for whom a smell or a gesture can bring back a memory and allow them to enter into a relationship, by providing them with calm, in an environment secure and reassuring. These weekly workshops are available in different themes (facial care, hand beauty, self-massage) allowing residents to take care of themselves, preserve their autonomy, make choices (product used, choice of an odor, a varnish), while promoting social bonds, in a caring climate of exchanges and mutual aid.
