results still improving for young Haut-Marnais

Emulation continues for the young people of the Aube/Haute- departmental badminton committee. After a successful season opening near in October, the second stage of the chicks/minibad circuit and the youth circuit, scheduled in Langres last weekend, once again saw a good turnout.

With 30 registered among the little ones on Saturday, and 87 registered on Sunday, from toddlers to juniors, the youth competitions continue to appeal. Better still, the level is rising and becoming more homogeneous, which will result, at the beginning of December, in the presence of nine Badistas from Codep 10/52, including five from Haut-Marnais, at the Regional Youth Trophy in Clermont-en-Argonne.

At home, the Langrois distinguished themselves especially among the older ones, in juniors in particular, with the victories of Marceau Demonsy in men's singles series 2 and Auréline Koch in women's singles series 1. It will also be necessary to remember, in juniors, the nice success for Jean Collin Maillefert ahead of Trojan Gabin Pesme, a regular at regional meetings. It is in this category in particular that the Badminton Club has attracted the most attention. Felix Magrini, only a chick, took the victory in series 2, imitated by Emir Calvarin, who is performing in series 3 for his first year of practice.

Confirmations and outbreaks

Among the girls, Layla Magrini confirmed her very good start to the season by beating Manon Vollot for the first time. The two Chaumontaises therefore take the first two places in series 1. Among the other notable performances, we must remember that of Chaumontais Matéo Cardoso, who came from tennis where he excelled. Once again, he dominated his series 3 and should quickly compete with the best in the department.

The day before, the youngest had warmed up the Grand Sud gymnasium. For many, it was a discovery of competition. On the Haut-Marne side, Langres obtained second place in minibad girls thanks to Myla Rolle, but it was Chaumont who took the lion's share, with nine podiums and above all a hat-trick in chicks 2, signed Marceau Delfosse, Félix Magrini and Marius Baizeau.

The next big meeting is scheduled for December 14, in Bar-sur-Aube, which hosted the departmental championship, qualifying for the regionals.

Among chicks 2, Chaumont leaves with a hat-trick!
