The Defense Committee of Local Hospitals of the Ardennes, the left-wing political parties (PS, PCF, LFI), the United Mutuelle of France, the Human Rights League as well as the CGT, FSU and Solidaires unions, have decided to collectively lead a campaign to explain Social Security to the Ardennes.
While the social security financing bill is currently being debated in the National Assembly, the collective wishes to alert the population to social protection issues and what the government presents as a “social security hole”
Michèle Leflon, President of the Defense Committee of Local Hospitals of the Ardennes
For the collective, it is a social issue and it is essential today that everyone mobilizes for social security, for public services: “The unions fought for pensions, the left-wing political parties defended, through the new popular front, a certain number of measures in Parliament on these different issues, associations are fighting for the right to health, the United Mutuelle of France is fighting for access to care for all, this is why we are all together today” further clarified Michèle Leflon.

The deputies have already adopted the revenue part of the social security financing bill, after having made modifications. Concerning the expenditure part, they voted on several amendments but were unable to finish the examination before the end of the debates within the deadline imposed by the Constitution. The initial version of the bill was therefore sent to the Senate, which will begin examination of the text in public session from this Monday, November 18.
To know and understand everything about Social Security, meet on Wednesday November 20, Salle de Nevers, in Charleville-Mézières, from 6:30 p.m., for a public meeting on the theme “Social Security in Danger”, with Victor Duchesne , Doctor in Economics, Specialist in Social Protection.
