State services in Gard, in partnership with the Union of Metallurgical Industries and Trades of Gard, are organizing a photographic exhibition of employee portraits intended to shed light on the metallurgical professions.
Since 2011, Industry Week has promoted the industry and its stakeholders by offering educational events and job discoveries: company visits, job dating, job forums, web conferences, classroom interventions, exhibitions, etc.
Each year, this national meeting helps to strengthen the attractiveness of the sector, and in particular, to encourage vocations among young people. It also promotes diversity in professions and the place of women in different sectors. In order to give it full local resonance, several events are offered by state services in Gard.
One of the events: the exhibition “From territory to Industry, Gard has talent. » This year, the Gard metallurgy sector is in the spotlight. Present in a multitude of sectors, the metallurgical manufacturers of Gard are among the pearls of French industry. At the cutting edge of technology, they offer jobs focused on innovation requiring a wide range of skills. Little known to the general public, metallurgical professions offer unsuspected career opportunities, open to both men and women.
From November 18 and for a period of one month, the State services in Gard, in partnership with the Union des Industries et Métiers de la Métallurgie du Gard, are organizing a photographic exhibition of portraits of employees intended to shed light on the metallurgical professions. Four companies took part in the exercise and 10 employees entrusted themselves to the expert eye of the photojournalist, Noëllie Jacquot-Portefaix, and to the pen of Céline Rousseau, editor.
This exhibition will be present on the gates of the prefecture in Nîmes, and on those of the sub-prefecture of Alès.
