When it was established, the municipal youth council had defined two major projects, one of which was in the “nature” aspect. In July, they visited Les Pépinières d'Envie in Chemazé to learn about large and small fruit trees and Lucie Pouteau, in charge of this nursery, gave them advice and recommendations to make their project a success. This is how the date of Wednesday November 13 was set for the plantings.
In total, 16 fruit trees (peach, apple, plum, cherry, etc.) were planted by this team accompanied by elected officials and helped by people in charge of green spaces.
Previously, four places had been selected, near the Escapade room in order to plant a hedge which will be reinforced over the years, near games installed at the lake to provide shade, near schools and finally to the Marzelles football field to replace the current hedge. Florence Vautrain, elected official, explains: “These are trees to share which make it possible to beautify the town while promoting shaded corners and allowing Argentréans to pick fruits during the season, a beautiful image of sharing”.
