A relaxation room was installed at theManor school of Sainte-Mère-Église (Manche).
Son but : allow students to go there if they feel an emotional charge too loud in class or if they have difficulties has to focus.
A unique case in Normandy
This space of approximately 12 m2 was designed for promote well-being with visual, auditory and tactile. Poufs, cushions, rugs, blankets, mood lamps, unbreakable mirror… Everything has been designed for well-being.
Ms Brothin and Ms Fortin have helped with the layout et to decoration of this relaxing universe. It is the only public school in the Normandy academy to have such a room.
Inaugurated in November
Everything was possible thanks to the “NEFLE (Our school, let’s do it together)” project, a innovative educational initiativesupported by the Ministry of National Education.
The fundingto the tune of €2,264.80, was insured by the rectorate, and the school cooperative participated for €150. There municipality took into account the finish including paintings and decorations.
Pupil welfare is taken seriously.
The inauguration took place Thursday November 7, 2024after classes, in the presence of several parents and teachersby Julien Durchon, inspector of the Manche academy and Alain Holley, maire of Sainte-Mère-Église.
