Burgundy: You don't have to pay a lot to have good wines

While the prices of wines from the big names in Burgundy have soared in recent years, there are still wines at very affordable prices, including less than 10 euros. This is what we offer you, with also “favorites” from winegrowers.

It's true in these times of inflation, Burgundy wines are no exception to the rule. At a time when buying good Burgundy wine is becoming a rare pleasure, the result of soaring prices, we have decided to take a little trip for you to the Burgundy great wine festival, in search of wines the cheapest, offered by the exhibitors…
You like Burgundy wines, but you find that the prices have soared a little too much in recent years. This is true for certain appellations and for certain grands crus. But by looking carefully, by going to discover the winegrowers, as we can do again this Saturday, at the Burgundy Wine Festival at the Palais des Congrès, in , we can still find and unearth very good wines, not necessarily very expensive. With even bottles for less than 10 euros.

It is this small selection that infos- offers you. To allow you to indulge yourself, without breaking the bank.
You just have to search a little. Without forgetting to take advantage of the tastings offered to visitors.

Report and selections:

Mâcon-village

“We are the Dijon cooperative and we offer a Mâcon-village “Terroirs des brigands” at €7 a bottle. Our cooperative cellar represents 200 hectares in the town of Igé. We have around forty members and we make Mâcon, Burgundies and Crémant de Bourgogne. »

Côte de Nuits Village

“Our cheapest wines are around €15 per bottle, this is the low end of the village appellations. Our wines come from the Côte de Nuit. These are fine wines with good structure, tannins which are present and which accompany the wine well. The Côte de Nuit that we offer are well-structured wines. For those who know the Nuits Saint-Georges, we have a framework with our wines that is clearly visible. These are slightly less complex wines but for connoisseurs of Nuits, they will not be out of place. »

Beaune

“We are the Jean-Claude Râteau estate, in Beaune, and the cheapest bottle we offer is a Burgundy at €17. We have been working biodynamically and for good since 1979. Burgundy is made in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, in plots. »

Chablis

“I am at Domaine Marino in Beru. We offer a Chablis 2022 at 11.50 euros per bottle. My favorite is a 2022 Chablis “Vielles vignes” which we sell for 13 euros.”

Savigny les Baune

“I am Lucie Maurice, from the Prieuré estate in Savigny lès Beaune. We sell an Aligoté 2023 at 8.50 euros per bottle. My favorite is a Savigny Village 2022 at 19 euros per bottle.”

Hautes Côtes de Beaune

“I am Mylène from Domaine Nicolas in Nolay. We offer an Aligoté 2023 at 8 euros per bottle. My favorite is a Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune “en Château” 2022, red, at 16 euros a bottle.”

Chitry

“The Olivier Morin estate, in Chitry, in the south of Yonne, offers an Aligoté 2022 at 10.50 euros per bottle. My favorite, the wine I prefer, is the Olympe vintage at 17 euros per bottle.
