Starting from an outbuilding, the fire spreads to two buildings in Aveyron

A fire broke out at the end of the afternoon in an outbuilding located at a place called Frayssinhes, in the town of Vibal, according to the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis) of Aveyron.

The fire, which devastated a wooden building, then spread to an adjoining barn and house.

Rapid intervention by firefighters

From 6:20 p.m., fifteen firefighters from the Pont-de-Salars and Rodez barracks were mobilized. Their intervention required stripping work on the roof of the house and on the floor of the barn, to prevent further spread of the flames. Sdis told our colleagues at Center Presse Aveyron that the affected house seemed abandoned, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.

A worrying spread

Although the wooden outbuilding was completely destroyed, emergency services managed to limit the structural damage to neighboring buildings. The intervention made it possible to control the fire before it spread to other structures.
