The 2nd edition of the Orientation and Training Night, organized on Wednesday November 20 at the CCI in Rodez, will bring together more than 370 professionals who will aim to present existing training and a wide range of jobs in Aveyron.
The first edition of this meeting initiated at the national level was a great success. More than 4,200 visitors were welcomed to the CCI premises in Rodez, to discover the professions offered in Aveyron, gathered on the same site. “I believe that this is a meeting that many have been waiting for,” says Dominique Costes, president of the CCI. More generally, the objective was also to create bridges between, to open up the field of possibilities to those who choose to come and meet the professionals.”
This year, Wednesday November 20 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., and after taking into account the feedback that was given, the organizers of this meeting have chosen to add a space dedicated to training. “The idea is also to involve parents in the reflection, in a framework where everyone can take the time to think, without stress, about what they want to do and bring back the information they want,” continues Dominique Costes.
From CAP to bac + 5
Above all, this Orientation and Training Night offers Aveyron professionals the opportunity to come and talk about their profession, the training that depends on it, but also to share their experience. This year, there will be nearly 360, in 170 professions, spread across 18 different sectors of activity. “If we want our young people to stay in Aveyron, we must show them the whole range of training that exists here, which goes from CAP to bac + 5.”
Professions in agriculture, IT and digital technology, communication, banking, real estate, hospitality or even aeronautics or social services can be explored by students. Several conferences will punctuate the journey of those who go to the CCI: Digital professions; the different areas of space, its professions and applications; gendarmerie professions, etc.
New professionals
“After the feedback we received last year, we wanted to invite new professionals such as veterinarians who were in high demand,” confide the organizers of the event. This event is part of a broader context, that of Career Discovery Month, which takes place from November 4 to December 7, which once again allows pupils and students to meet entrepreneurs and participate in forums, etc.
For the prefect of Aveyron, Charles Giusti, this meeting must “allow many young people who are looking for a path to find a path. This initiative was carried out well last year, it is enriched and completed, to this edition, by a training part”.
“A lot of work has been done to propose this meeting,” continues the state representative. “The idea is also to attract young people from neighboring departments.”
