An agricultural mobilization is in preparation from November 19. This could be the second large-scale protest movement for farmers in 2024, after that of January. They are still demanding the aid promised by the government of the time.

In a press release published this Thursday, November 14 on its social networks, the Rural Coordination of Lot-et-Garonne denounces the lack of effectiveness of the government measures put in place until now, such as the Agricultural Orientation Law and the Law Equal. Above all, the agricultural union details its demands, which it intends to transmit to the government.

“We need very concrete structural measures that restore income to farmers along two lines:

  • The reduction in charges;
  • The modification of French regulations in order to reduce the unfair competition that our agriculture suffers from European countries,” estimates CR47.

  • The fight against unfair competition: CR47 calls for strengthening the protection of French farmers in the face of competition from third countries, particularly in terms of health and environmental standards.
