For two hours, the police checked 40 people in the city center and at Pamiers station. With, according to them, “significant results”. In total, five arrests took place. Three arrests for contravention of the legislation on foreigners and the other two for an arrest warrant and non-compliance with a judicial control.
Recently, the Ariège town has been the subject of particular surveillance following several serious incidents which have taken place there since the start of the year. The National Police intends to fight crime, in all its forms, through other large-scale operations in the territory.
