The Tamedia group reorganizes its management in French-speaking Switzerland – rts.ch

Tamedia is reorganizing its editorial division in French-speaking Switzerland. The Zurich group announces several appointments and several departures in order to “accelerate the digital growth of the 24-hour brand and further professionalize brand management”.

In the new organization chart, Chantal de Senger will assume the newly created role of Brand Business Manager for all French-speaking brands as well as Executive of Tamedia in French-speaking Switzerland. Eric Lecluyse becomes editor-in-chief of the French-speaking editorial team and editor-in-chief of 24 Heures.

Both will take office on January 1, 2025, Tamedia said in a press release on Wednesday. The publisher announced at the end of August its new strategy to accelerate its digital transformation, including the creation of a transversal Digital Desk. Responsible for content distribution, he will now be headed by Emmanuel Borloz.

In French-speaking Switzerland, the editorial offices of 24 Heures, La Tribune de Genève, Le Matin Dimanche and Femina will now form a single editorial team, headed by Eric Lecluyse, who will also have the task of strengthening collaboration with the German-speaking editorial offices. After having been deputy editor-in-chief of the French magazine L’Express, he has worked as editor-in-chief of the Neuchâtel regional daily ArcInfo since 2017.

Eric Lecluyse replaces Claude Ansermoz at the head of 24 Heures, who is leaving Tamedia by mutual agreement with management, specifies the publisher. After more than 20 years at 24 Heures, including the last seven years as editor-in-chief, Claude Ansermoz has succeeded in making 24 Heures the essential voice of the canton of Vaud and its different regions, declares Simon Bärtschi, editorial director from Tamedia.

Departure of Frédéric Juillard for Le Temps

A change is also taking place in Geneva. The editor-in-chief of the Tribune de Genève, Frédéric Julliard, will leave the company to take up a new challenge at Le Temps. It is now Olivier Bot, currently deputy editor-in-chief of the title, who will take over as interim editor-in-chief of the Tribune de Genève.

At Le Temps from February 1, Frédéric Julliard will be responsible for a new Lake Geneva section which will bring together the Vaud and Geneva offices of the daily, writes the latter in another press release. He will work very closely with Nicole Lamon, head of the Switzerland section, who remains responsible for correspondents at the Federal Palace, in German-speaking Switzerland, in the Jura region and in Valais.

Arrival of Chantal de Senger

As for the position of Brand Business Manager, newly created by Tamedia and assigned to Chantal de Senger — currently editor-in-chief of PRESTIGE magazine — it will cover responsibility for the development of brands, their financial performance as well as the implementation of the strategy. Chantal de Senger will represent the company as Tamedia Executive in French-speaking Switzerland and report directly to CEO Jessica Peppel-Schulz.

The editor further notes that “Christine Gabella, director of Tamedia for French-speaking Switzerland, despite leaving on her own initiative, will actively support our transformation and ensure a smooth transition. She will continue to advise us and represent Tamedia until further notice. order as a member of the board of directors of Keystone-ATS and Riviera Chablais, as well as as vice-president of Médias Suisses”, specifies Jessica Peppel-Schulz.
