FACE Gard is a club of Gard businesses created in January 2009 at the initiative of a club of Gard entrepreneurs and several local authorities, notably the Departmental Council. The club supports job seekers in their integration process through actions that promote access to stable employment and career discovery.
« We are companies based in Gard: VSEs, SMEs, Gard establishments of large groups. It is a network of 154 partner companies, including 74 members » admits Ludivine Lafont, “employment and inclusion” project manager for FACE Gard.
This club therefore offered a somewhat special meeting, split into two parts. Two hours for professions in law and justice and two other hours for professions in the Social and Solidarity Economy.
The general objective? Discover a sector of activity and a profession through exchanges with professionals.

The expected benefits? Broaden professional horizons and employment opportunities by developing knowledge of professions and their prerequisites.
For Ludivine Lafont, “ We take concrete action on the social level in our companies and beyond, on the societal level in the Gard, in favor of social cohesion and integration into the business world. We try to fight against all forms of discrimination and for equal opportunities, we are convinced that the specificities of each individual amplify economic performance and make our companies rich. »
How to do it? Equal treatment between employees within our companies, opening the business world to young people, particularly schoolchildren, support for the professional integration of people in difficulty, social and solidarity innovation, in partnership with institutional and associative actors from Gard and the Occitanie region.
With six business professionals representing a Nîmes law firm, two clerks from the Nîmes court of justice, MIESS30 and the SOS group, people looking for work, guided by eight employment partners, undoubtedly had an intense time learning.
Unity is strength
« We would like to thank the Occitanie region for its welcome within the region's house as well as our institutional and employment partners Greta, IRFA Sud, Artothèque, Mission Locale Rhône Argence, C'Faire , AMS Grand Sud, Ufolep and CCAS de Marguerittes, for public mobilization » explains Ludivine Lafont.
Job discoveries are meetings during which professionals present their profession to people looking for work. This day offers the opportunity for people looking for work and/or retraining to discover professions that are recruiting in the region, to discuss with professionals about the training and skills required or even possible opportunities and career developments.

« This year, professions in justice and law as well as those in the ESS sector will be in the spotlight. We will have the presence of a lawyer from the Barthélémy Avocats firm, two clerks from the Nîmes court, professionals from MIESS30 (House of Economic, Social and Solidarity Initiatives) as well as the SOS group. We take concrete action on the social level in our companies and beyond, on the societal level in the Gard, in favor of social cohesion and integration into the business world. »
In collaboration with the Occitanie Region and with the support of the State, the Gard Departmental Council, and Nîmes metropolis, FACE Gard organized this day of career discovery within the region's center in Nîmes.
On November 26, FACE Gard is organizing the same information day in Alès. The ESS will take place in the morning before Law and Justice which will take place in the afternoon (registration by May at [email protected]).
