public swimming pools open to all in the region

Here are some accessible places to refresh yourself this week.

  • Granby Aquatic Center (560, rue Léon-Harmel): the outdoor pool open from June 17 to 21 for free swimming, between 4 p.m. and 7:55 p.m.
  • Horner Pool (exterior, rue Horner in Granby): opening earlier than Tuesday, June 18. Accessible from 12 p.m. to 5:25 p.m.
  • Water games in Granby: eight city parks have water games. They are operational every day of the week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Consult the list of parks. Note that those at Fortin Park are however closed due to a breakdown.

In Bromont, Cowansville and elsewhere in the region

  • Bromont: Attention! Lake Bromont is closed due to blue-green algae.
    • Gale Lake is open to residents only for swimming from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. without right of access
    • Water games at the Germain-Désourdy Campus open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
    • Inflatable water games for toddlers (0-4 years) installed at Grégoire Park for the heatwave period

  • Cowansville: the water games at the Nature Center and Parc des Hummingbirds are accessible this week.
  • Brome Lake: Douglass Beach open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Saturday
    • The water games located behind the Lac-Brome Center are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Open air-conditioned libraries and community centers

The air-conditioned Granby library is specially open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The one in Bromont is open from 1 p.m., Wednesday to Friday. The one in Cowansville is also open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Bromont and Lac-Brome community centers are also air-conditioned and open all day this week.
