Exasperated by the situation he experienced, Gérard Claudet decided to testify. Near BFMTVthe man says he was hospitalized on October 26, 2024, at Langres hospital, in Haute-Marne, for inflammation of the intestines. After spending 24 hours in an emergency room, hospital staff told him, around 1 a.m., that he had to be moved.
“Okay, where am I going?” How is it going? »he asks. “Look, in a garage. When we have more space here, it’s not complicated: we open the garage and put patients there”his interlocutor would then have replied.
The Regional Health Agency reacted
According to the images he sent to BFMTVthe man did indeed find himself in a triage room set up in a garage, with four other people installed on beds.
The next day, he asked to go home and wrote to the Grand Est Regional Health Agency. The latter reacted, Monday, November 11, after the broadcast of the report from BFMTVexplaining that “similar situations in this establishment had been reported in 2023” and that one “injunction to cease immediately” this practice had been issued.
She now indicates that she is leading “additional investigations to understand under what conditions a patient could have found himself hospitalized in this room again”.
