This Saturday, a 40-year-old man was the victim of a violent accident near (Aveyron). On board his utility vehicle, he hit a cliff head-on. The shock was so violent that the firefighters had to extract him from his vehicle, report our colleagues from 3 Regions.

The forty-year-old was traveling on the 809 departmental road this Saturday evening when, for a reason still unknown, he hit a cliff. Very quickly, emergency services arrived on site and noted the extent of the damage. The van was pulverized with its driver trapped in the passenger compartment. He is miraculously alive, but in serious condition.

The driver had to be extricated

Despite the life-threatening emergency they were facing, the firefighters could not access the victim. Even if it was long and tedious, an extrication operation was the only solution to help the individual. The rescue team had to move quickly while taking care not to aggravate the driver's condition.

It took an hour and a half to get to the carcass and free its occupant. The latter, seriously injured, was still conscious at the time of his extraction. He was evacuated in a state of absolute emergency to the Millau hospital center.
