Singer and surfer Justine Mauvin is in intensive care in serious condition in a hospital in Reunion after a road accident.
Justine Mauvin was the victim of a serious road accident while she was driving on Wednesday November 6 on the coastal road between Grande Chaloupe and La Possession in Reunion. It is a piece of metal lost by a van which would have been thrown into the air by another car and would have crossed the windshield of Justine Mauvin's vehicle. Hit violently in the head, the 31-year-old surfer was Friday evening “still hospitalized in intensive care in serious condition, her life threatening” according to local media Réunion La 1ère. An investigation was opened to determine the causes of the accident. Before branching out in recent years into the world of music under the name of singer “Sibu Manaï” (see her clip “Tiktak Zèl Maron” below), the Frenchwoman had won two French longboard champion titles in 2014 and 2016 and had reached third place in the world in the specialty.
