Entente Sud Haute-Marne beats Pont-à-Mousson 10-9
Chaumont. The Entente Sud Haute-Marne continued its good progress by winning a third consecutive victory, Sunday November 10, by winning (10-9), against Pont-à-Mousson. A success acquired with pain, but which brings happiness to the Chaumonto-Langrois who, in the ranking, move up to second place, behind the untouchable Nancy-Seichamps, tied on points with the Aubois of Saint-André-les-Vergers .
As the result indicates, the match was very close. Trailing by three points (0-3) at half-time, Pierre Labrune's teammates managed to get back into the match in the second half, to finally win by a very small point. “We were clearly absent during the first forty minutes. If Pont-à-Mousson scores 20 points, there is nothing to complain about. We were totally absent, but we managed to keep things together”explains Jacques Rachet, the forwards coach.
The second act turned out to be better for the Entente Sud Haute-Marne. Chaumonto-Langrois fly-half Baptiste Couturier was responsible for scoring all the points for his team, with a try, a conversion and a penalty. “In the second half, we made avoidable mistakes. This prevented us from scoring. The bench's contribution was very beneficial. With this victory, the essential is safe. We know we still have work to do. Despite everything, we can exist at this level”adds Jacques Rachet.
If the first team suffered to beat the Lorraine team, on the other hand, the reserve made short work of Pont-à-Mousson, with a clear score (104-0). Applied and respecting the instructions to the letter, the Entente Sud Haute-Marne, which demonstrated impeccable behavior, respected its opponent of the day to the end.
A very good Sunday for the Entente Sud Haute-Marne which did better than defend itself in this Regional 1 group.
