In the evening of Friday November 8, 2024, friends, colleagues, family and elected officials found themselves in the presbytery room of Virandeville (Manche) for the presentation of the medal of honor regional, departmental and municipal in the silver level to Yves Lepotier for his 20 years serving the community.

She is assigned by the prefect to people who have particularly dedicated au community service.

Yves, through your way of serving, through your commitment, you were an agent that we have the joy of honoring today.

He recalled the career of his municipal employee.

Hired in 2005

“You have been hired February 7, 2005 by Yves Henry, the mayor at the time. During these twenty years, you have always been available, helpful with the entire populationdiscreet and punctual. It is a relationship of trust which has come between you and the chosen ones. Today, this medal is a official recognition of the services renderedbut above all it is proof that there are people capable of devoting themselves to serving the interests of their community.”

Then, the mayor left it to the honorary mayor, Yves Henry, to present the medal. He has known him for a long time, as he was his employee for 18 years. The small ceremony continued in a very friendly manner with a wine of honor offered by the municipality.
