Thursday, November 7, a traffic accident took place around 12:10 p.m. on departmental road 652 between the municipalities of Biscarrosse and Sanguinet involving a van and two cars. According to initial information, the van veered into the left lane on a bend causing a first accident with a car. But under the shock, the van, in a rebound effect, hit a bus from the Trans-Landes company. SDIS 40 dispatched 15 firefighters to the scene to treat the victims: the driver and his passenger in the van, aged 23 and 20, were seriously injured. Given the seriousness of the injuries, two civil security helicopters, HélisMur 33 and Dragon 33, were called to evacuate the victims to the Pellegrin university hospital in Bordeaux. The driver of the car was slightly injured. A diversion has been set up by the municipal police and the gendarmerie in both directions of traffic via the RD333 and the RD305, while the rescue operation takes place.
