As indicated by several media, including TF1, the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron will commemorate November 11 in the company of the British Prime Minister, Keir Starmerfor a day dedicated to “Franco-British friendship“. Monday morning, the two men will therefore head towards the Georges Clemenceau statue on the Champs-Élysées, then that of Winston Churchill, in order to lay wreaths there. They will then go to the Place de l'Etoile for the traditional ceremony at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe.
Also, to enable the smooth running of this ceremony, RATP announces the closure of several metro stations this Monday, November 11, 2024 in Paris.
More precisely, access to six stations are closed. THE stations Kléber (ligne 6), Boissiere (ligne 6), Champs-Élysées – Clemenceau (lines 1 and 13), Franklin D. Roosevelt (lines 1 and 9), George V (line 1) and Charles de Gaulle – Star (lines 1, 2 and 6 and RER A) are closed by order of the Police Prefecture. Note that trains do not stop, and connections at these stations are not guaranteed. The reopening of these stations will be done with authorization from the Police Prefecture.
