Speaking during a meeting organized Friday evening, the Consul General of Morocco in Montreal, Soreya Jabry highlighted the dynamic of growing international support for the autonomy plan presented by the Kingdom with a view to definitively settling the regional dispute around the Sahara Moroccan.
The latest resolution adopted by the United Nations Security Council on the subject of the Sahara establishes the preeminence of the Moroccan Autonomy Initiative as the “one and only basis” for the negotiation of a political solution to this regional dispute in the framework of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom, indicated the diplomat, on the occasion of this event initiated by the Alliance Maroc-Canada association.
This dynamic of support, she noted, also denotes the support of the international community for Morocco’s vision, “looking to the future on the basis of the consolidation of the rule of law and socio-development.” -economic” sustained in the southern provinces.
The Consul General recalled, in this regard, the call launched by the Sovereign in His speech on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Green March, with a view to greater mobilization to consolidate the defense of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.
This meeting, which took place at the Moroccan cultural center Dar Al Maghrib, saw the presence of members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Canada, Canadian elected officials, associative actors and members of the Moroccan community residing in this North American country. .
