The Pan-African Progressive Platform calls for political transformation in Senegal

The Pan-African Progressive Platform, and its Senegalese branch Seen Égal-e Seen Égalité, do not participate directly in the legislative elections. However, they are pleading for the adoption of their social project by the new legislature. In a recent press release, they invite citizens to consult and promote these ideas to the 41 electoral coalitions and parliamentary candidates.

They encourage the Senegalese to use their project as inspiration for a third republic and pan-African development focused on social progress, ecology and feminism. The project proposes the creation of a constituent assembly to initiate this new republic. This assembly is considered the most democratic way to transform society, in order to meet the challenges of the 21st century and correct institutional imbalances.

While supporting the principles of the National Conference of Senegal and the Charter of Democratic Governance, Seenegal-e believes that a new constitution could improve that of 2001. It would integrate fundamental rights such as access to water, economic rights, social and cultural, as well as traditional modes of regulation to promote social cohesion and counter despotism.
