With its massifs, ponds and breathtaking landscapes, the Côte du Midi is prized by connoisseurs for its beauty and tranquility. The “13 Hours on Weekend” takes you to discover its coastline, the village of Gruissan (Aude) and one of its culinary specialties: the delicious pine nut tart.
The Côte du Midi is a territory between land, sea and pond, known for its massifs and its dizzying climbing routes. From its coastline popular for its nautical activities, to its sometimes thousand-year-old heritage, through its appetizing gastronomy, France Télévisions takes you to discover this little-known and surprising territory.
On the Bages pond (Aude), a group is taking a catamaran course. Children take advantage of the holidays to learn to sail on calm water. A real change of scenery possible thanks to the 5,500 hectares of the pond.
A few kilometers away, at the water's edge, the village of Gruissan (Aude) awaits visitors. Its famous central Barbarossa tower and its houses arranged all around make it unique in the landscape. In the local bakery, a specialty delights customers: pine nut tart. A dessert made with pastry cream and almonds.
