The Spéléo Secours de la Haute-Garonne was hired by the prefecture services to intervene in the town of Frontignan-de-Comminges with the aim of carrying out a rescue operation in an underground environment.

Last Saturday, November 2, during a hunting trip, Lutin, a fox terrier dog, disappeared in a cavity. On November 3 and 4, his owner returned regularly to the scene and heard his dog moaning.

Also, the following day, a team made up of three unblocking specialists and pyrotechnicians from Spéléo Secours 31 intervened to carry out an assessment and unblock the cavity with an entrance between two blocks.

After several work sessions, Lutin was finally able to be brought to the surface in the middle of the afternoon, exhausted but alive.

It was with emotion that his owner welcomed him.

Alain and Bernard, departmental technical advisors, and Pascal, all three speleologists specializing in unblocking, were very happy to have carried out this intervention successfully.
