And 8! A new candidate has declared himself in the legislative elections for the first constituency of the Ardennes, to replace Flavien Termet, who resigned for “health reasons”. He submitted his application to the prefecture this Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Luca De , and her alternate Sandrine Bellon, will represent « the democratic coalition Let's decide for ourselves!, of which the democratic party Decidemos is a member ».

Based in Paris, this artistic photographer and philosopher has been a regular in politics since 2011, when he campaigned for the establishment of the RIC (citizen initiative referendum). In 2024, he is in fifth place on the party list in the European elections, then presented himself as a substitute for two candidates during the last legislative elections in Essonne and Cher.

A party aiming for municipal elections

In the long term, the party mainly targets municipal elections. « The more municipal councilors we have, or even town halls, particularly in small villages, the more we will be able to achieve sponsorships within the framework of the next presidential election for a candidate who will be for the RIC and democracy », develops the candidate.

As for his link with the Ardennes, he admits not having one and is carrying out a promotional campaign for the party “ in the long term “. He is nevertheless supported by Noël Lapierre, a retired farmer in the town of Fossé, near Buzancy.

Who are the other candidates?

Other candidates have already positioned themselves in the first constituency of the Ardennes: Damien Lerouge (New Popular Front), Guillaume Maréchal (Les Républicains), Mink Takawé (Lutte Ouvrière), Bruno North (CNIP), Lionel Vuibert (SE), Sonia D’Orgeville (Ecology of the center) and Jordan Duflot (National Rally).

Declarations are awaited at the prefecture until Friday November 8. As a reminder, the elections are scheduled for 1is and next December 8.
