Students, entrepreneurs and “chefs” gathered at the Open

Lots of people on November 6 at the Open, on the occasion of the traditional “evening of commitment and entrepreneurship” organized by the Collégium Lorraine Management Innovation (composed of the IAE School of Management, the IAE School of Management and the Institute of Digital Sciences, Management and Cognition of Nancy – IDMC), the Student Entrepreneurship Center of Lorraine (PeeL) and the ILP Group (fund local investment).

The opportunity to highlight students who, alongside their studies, are involved in associations, social or cultural structures or even within the University itself, for the benefit of the general interest. And to reward three young entrepreneurs who “passed” through the PeeL: Ahmad Chalhoub (occupational therapist and founder of Noctimed), Arnaud Tonon (Black Ticket) and Mathieu Muller (co-founder of Noviatek, a start-up that he sold, and which now runs 'today a project linked to indoor leisure in Amnéville les Thermes). PeeL which is still doing well since it once again confirms this year its place as number 1 in (in number of students) in its register with “more than 250 new student-entrepreneurs welcomed since the start of the year, i.e. 570 young people currently supported,” underlined Christophe Schmitt, the director of this center whose mission is to develop entrepreneurial culture (and therefore beyond supporting the creation of businesses) at the University of Lorraine.

At the chef's table

A round table entitled “Leadership in action: shared perspectives on the commitment of a leader” also brought together four personalities from four very different worlds to discuss their vision of “management”: Hélène Boulanger, president of the University of Lorraine, Charles Coulombeau, chef of the starred restaurant La Maison dans le Parc, the Yozora restaurant and the Umé brasserie at the Pompidou Metz center, Olivier Kim, lieutenant general, commander of the gendarmerie region of , as well as Nathalie Vaxelaire, president of the Trane company and president of the UIMM Lorraine (Union of metallurgical industries and professions).

François Werner, president of the ILP Group, vice-president of the Grand Est Region, Cédric Gouth, president of the ILP Innovation and ILP Accélération funds, vice-president of the Grand Est Region and mayor of Woippy, as well as Élisabeth Deschanet, director of Collegium LMI also spoke at this event which brought together numerous players from the economic, academic and associative spheres.
