Puy-de-Dôme departmental councilor Patrick Raynaud has died

Elected since 2015 for the canton of Clermont-Ferrand 6, socialist departmental councilor Patrick Raynaud died on Tuesday November 5.

He had been a departmental councilor since 2015: Patrick Raynaud, 71, died on Tuesday November 5, the Puy-de-Dôme Department announced this Thursday. “The Departmental Council has just lost one of its own,” writes the community.

Member of the group La Gauche Sociale et Écologiste – Solidaires par Nature, the elected socialist, former collaborator of Michèle André when the former senator sat on the general council, had been elected for nine years in the canton of Clermont-Ferrand 6, where he had unsurprisingly re-elected in 2021 alongside Sylvie Léger (EELV).

“Tireless activist”

“My sincere condolences to his loved ones”, reacted the president of the Department Lionel Chauvin (LR), on the X network. The mayor of Clermont-Ferrand Olivier Bianchi (PS) also paid tribute to this “tireless activist”, the one who “was first and foremost a friend,” he said. “His departure is a shock.”
