Hammering, cutting, sewing, the actions are methodical. With strength and finesse, Sébastien Desjardins works leather in his workshop in Maussac, about twenty kilometers from Ussel in Corrèze.

Launched just three years ago in the craft industry, it is the last to have been labeled Origine Corrèze. “It’s a very nice recognition of our work, of craftsmanship, of Corrèze companies, and so for me, it was a small challenge to be able to register and become labeled of Corrèze origin“, recognizes the craftsman.

In a few days, its bracelets, belts and wallets will be exhibited at the Made in France show. Fourteen artisans from the label were selected to participate, because this year, Corrèze is the territory in the spotlight, as a reward for their involvement: “It’s a fair return for me to honor Corrèze“, explains the founder and president of the Made In France show Fabienne Delahaye.

A guarantee of quality, the brand has enabled, over the years, companies to become influential economic players in the region. The Parisian show will allow them to further expand the horizons of their order books: “the label has given us visibility, in Corrèze and even around it. The made in France show allows us to have a showcase in the Paris region, with a capital of sympathy which is really interesting for Corrèze manufacturing. So it's notoriety, turnover, and work for employees”, explains Pierre Delmas, who runs the high-end sofa manufacturing company Neology.

Corrèze will therefore benefit from a pavilion dedicated to the made in France trade fair, in Paris, from November 8 to 11.
