With a view to a sound and visual exhibition throughout the Jura, the Mi-scène association is launching a call to all seniors in the region to participate in an ambitious project: “The told professions”. This initiative promises to forge a precious link between the past and the present, by giving voice to those who have shaped the professional history of our territory.
Memory at the heart of art
Are you over 60 and have a professional story to tell? Whether you have been a carpenter, turner, housewife or man, your experience is unique and worth sharing. The Mi-scène association invites you to participate in interviews led by a professional, which will be recorded to capture the essence of your stories.
But this project goes beyond the simple collection of testimonies. A talented photographer will immortalize these moments of exchange, thus creating a bridge between oral transmission and visual art. The result? A captivating sound and visual exhibition which will travel throughout the Jura, offering visitors a total immersion in the trades of yesteryear.
A unique opportunity to leave your mark
Participating in “Les métiers contés” is not only an opportunity to share your story. It is also a chance to meet new people, exchange memories and contribute to the preservation of the Jura cultural heritage. Your testimony will become an integral part of this historical and artistic fresco, inspiring future generations and reviving the collective memory of our region.
The Mi-scène association is organizing five meetings between November 2024 and January 2025, in Poligny, Arbois and Salins-les-Bains. These free sessions are open to all seniors wishing to share their professional journey.
Don't let your memories fade into oblivion. Seize this unique opportunity to leave your mark in the history of the Jura. To take part in this great adventure, simply register with Mi-Scène on 03 84 37 11 39 or by email at [email protected].
