This is the first time that the Toulouse city has won this honor, having convinced the judges with its art galleries, its converted industrial sites, its lively cafés, its high-level cuisine, as well as the charm of the banks of the Garonne and of the Canal du Midi. The judges described it as “Paris in miniature”, which is sure to raise eyebrows among locals and those who know these two cities well, as Toulouse stands out from the capital. Booming, it is expected to grow by 90,000 inhabitants in the next decade. Air Canada has also set up an annualized direct connection between Montreal and Toulouse since mid-2023, while Air Transat continues to offer non-stop flights between spring and fall.
